Gatowo is a city 4 miles from Minsk, the capital of Belarus and has a population of approximately 12,000 people. It is a relatively expensive place to live but wages remain low and therefore little money is available for people to spare on projects for children.
Father Krzysztof Poswiata CSMA from Poland has been living in Gatowo since October 2011, he has seen at first hand some of the hardships the children face. He had a dream to help the young and disadvantage children by building a pastoral centre where they can play games, play football, dance, listen and learn music, read books and receive assistance with their education. However, money is still required to finish the building inside and to furnish it. It would be wonderful for others, more fortunate, to help give these children a good chance in life.
